I would never go see a sport animal fight or watch on TV. That said I really watch this with an Eye for tactics.

Caribous mistake. Not playing his strength. When he first attacked and then ran across the river he should have continued running and the Bear would be hungry.

By not using his natural attribute of speed to escape he became forced to fight on the bears terms.

Bears strength was his ability to get into the relative calm of the inside arching swing of the antlers. Once inside the powerful swing area it would be a shoving match which he could win and bleed out caribou.

Lessons for the Amish === 1.Use you natural attributes to control the engagement.

2. Get close to an enemy when you can be inside his arch of weapon and control and bleed out the opponent.
